Membership is available to organisations, small and large, from across the watch and jewellery supply chain, from mining to retail. Everyone is welcome, so long as they share our commitment to creating a responsible worldwide supply chain that promotes trust in our industry.
There are two membership options available, commercial and association and we’ll be here to support you every step of the way.
Commercial Membership
Suitable for an enterprise actively involved for commercial reasons in the diamond, rubies, sapphires and emeralds, (including laboratory-grown) gold, silver and/or platinum group metals jewellery and watch supply chain. See the Commercial Member Application Guidance for more information.

Complete the Application Form and ensure you have submitted all required documents in our checklist.

RJC review & response
We can progress your application if we have received all documents outlined in our checklist. If not, we will engage with you until we have everything to proceed.

Applicable checks & review
We conduct robust due diligence on your application.

Invoicing & payment
Your invoice is emailed to you for payment. Our membership fees are available here, this fee does not include the cost of a third-party independent audit, set by your audit firm.

Member onboarding
You will be added to the member directory and receive a Welcome Pack. Commercial members must complete a certification audit against the Code of Practices (COP) or the Laboratory Grown Materials Standard (LGMS), or a combined audit against both within one and a half years of joining.

RJC SupporterS
For organisations not part of the jewellery supply chain, from mine to retail. We are particularly interested to hear from financial institutions, media and trade fairs who raise awareness and advocate responsible jewellery throughout the entire supply chain. Organisations that do not meet the requirements for commercial or association membership may apply for supporter membership.
Please note: we do not accept applications from consultants, advisors, third-party auditors, or similar. If you are in any doubt about your eligibility, please contact our Applications Team.

Rejoining following termination
The RJC recognises that there may be legitimate reasons for termination and/or failure to meet the applicable certification deadline.

Applicable stand-down period

Conditions for re-joining within the stand-down period with certification audit by an RJC approved auditor
- Complete RJC COP certification audit
- Audit firm must submit completed audit report to RJC before the business can re-apply to RJC Membership
- RJC will only reinstate the membership process when the membership fee invoice is paid
- RJC will issue certification (if achieved)

Conditions for re-joining after the stand-down period without certification audit
Apply for RJC Membership
Achieve RJC certification within six months of joining or forfeit membership
Rejoining following termination for any reason
The RJC recognises that there may be legitimate reasons for termination and/or failure to meet the applicable certification deadline.
- Complete RJC COP audit and if applicable, LGMS
- Audit firm must submit audit report to RJC before the business can apply to rejoin
- RJC will reinstate the membership when the membership fee invoice is paid
- Certificate issued after rejoining process is complete
- Apply for RJC Membership
- Undergo an audit against the relevant mandatory RJC standard(s) within six months and achieve RJC certification within twelve months of joining or forfeit membership
